I am installing newly acquired interior visors on my 1948 Commodore but am not sure exactly where they attached above the windshield. I made one exploratory hole where I thought it fits without success. Rather than poke a bunch of holes in the fabric, I am wondering if someone out there in Hudsonland can help me? Just a photo of correctly installed hardware location is what I need or a page from a manual?
Thanks,

Pat, you should be able to "feel" the mounting plate for the visor. Is about 2 0r 3 inches above the windshield at the far left and far right. Be sure fingers are clean 😉
thank you! That will certainly help!
Maybe this picture from a 50 Commodore helps.

Thanks for taking the time to send me a pic. This looks like what I need. Another member said I should be able to feel the visor bracket under the headliner too. Between yours and his I should be able to "get 'er done!"
thanks again.

Would the visor bracket on a '54 Hudson be in the same location??
Yes Vic they are. There is a difference though on the type of fasteners used on the visor clamps. Up to about 1951 and starting from about 1937 Hudson used a fine thread acorn headed bolt to attach the visor the the upper header frame rail. In about 1952 they started using a coarse threaded sheet metal screw with a plain octagon shaped head to secure the interior visor onto the frame rail. Also, the location for the Super ,and convertibles used a different type of attaching system for those interior visors. They secured with two fixed screws about midway down the windshield frame rail. No side movement was available on those units.
I got them installed and they look fantastic. Thanks to everyone.
Thanks Lance, My '54 Hudson Hornet Club Coupe has the head liner installed. Thanks for the type of Fasteners, I just found a set of acorn headed bolts I was going to install them. I will check with Perry Springs if he has Fasteners with the octagon head. Thanks again. VicTor
