My father was a Hudson dealer in the late 40's and early 50's. He told me of going to Detroit and buying cars. As well as many other stories involving the Hudson dealership. He had a Hudson tie bar for April, May 1950 saying He proved his selling power. A Hudson wrist watch and Photo's of him graduating from training schools. He worked for J.R. & S. Motor Co. Inc. War, West Virginia. The J in the title was for Bernie Jones whom I am named after. My father was shot up badly in WWII and spent many years getting put back together. My fathers name was Floyd Workman and he died the day before my 19th birthday. I am trying to finally find a Hudson that my father might have sold. I would love to make friends with the group and also learn from the vase knowledge that the group has. If you know of something that might help me I would greatly appreciate any and all help. Thanks!
Welcome, Bernie!
I hope someone with a knowledge of J. R. & S Motor Company can step forward and give you some information on it. Possibly a current or past resident of W. Va. will know of a Hudson which was once sold new at that company.
