Hi is there any where I could buy a new thermostat for a 1934 it is a special and closes the by pass as it opens the normal flow if they are not available I will modify the system to take a modern thermostat and limit the by pass system this is probably for quick warm ups in the ice and snow I will never have to worry about those conditions here in Australia

Some 1934 owner will jump in and give you the correct information, but I'm pretty sure these bypass thermometers are fairly universal for 1930's cars, and you can still find them in antique auto flea markets and on Ebay, in NOS condition.

Possibly they differ from one another in certain measurements so if you have the old one (and know that it fits) keep it around for comparison purposes.
