I am in the process of having an Auto-Lite IAT-4009A professionally rebuilt, but my distributor shaft is bent. It needs a IGS 1183RB to replace the defective shaft. Does anyone have one for sale?

Thank you.

Chris

Easy enough to straighten the existing one.

Service restoring it claims they can't.

Hello Chris. We probably have what you need, and if we don't, we probably have another ,good used distributor. Give us a call if we can help. Thanks Doug

No such word as "Can't" when it comes to rebuilding old cars!

And Geoff's the man who would know.

When the service won't because it doesn't know how or doesn't want to, "can't" is the excuse. The distributor was almost done (all parts refit and refinished) and only required a shaft in working order. Wildricks kindly supplied me with a true shaft for the distributor restoration service to use. My "unusable" parts will be saved until I or someone else make them usable.

Thanks,

Chris
