Hello All,

I have two 308 engines and I am curious if the cars still exist? I realize that this exercise is a shot in the dark!

Engine #1
Serial Number 7319625

Engine #2
Serial Number 75291

Let me know your thoughts.

Don

Interesting numbers. #1, if the first figure is a model number, is a 1954 Hornet 6 engine - very late. Serial number 319625 would be the end of the 1954 run in October 1954 (316251-319720.

#2 engine, 75921 would be, again if the 7 is a model number, very early 1951 engine - those serial numbers in October 1950 ran 4851-16357. Production of 1951 models began in Sept. 1950.

Looks like you got a start and an end regards 308 production. Strange.

Don, I did a full text search of the database and nothing comes up. A full text search would pull up that combination of those numbers if they existed in the database, even if they were an address.

Alex & Aaron,

Thank you for the information you both really went above and beyond! I guess at this point we can assume that the cars do not exist anymore?

Now I need to decide what to do with two 308's!
