Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could give me ideas about any problems with buying a Hudson from a Canadian seller, i.e. issues with importing the car into the U.S., customs issues, need for a broker, etc.?

I came across a Hudson in Canada that I might have an interest in, but I am unsure of the process.

Thanks in advance, and take care,

Steve Bryson

Generally, less import restrictions on classic cars 25 years and older.

Google, "buying a classic car in canada and bringing it to the us"
Lots of information.

Steven,

As soon as a car reaches fifteen years old, there is no problem (as long as it meets US regulations for year of manufacture, which is no problem for HET cars). I brought in a Canadian built 1994 Toyota several years ago when it was eighteen years old. There are a couple of forms to fill out which are available on line.
