Choke Tube thread size?

I am in the process on converting my Hornet from a single carb setup, to Twin H. I bought 2 "universal" choke tube kits from Dorman for the 2 Carter WA-1 2113S carbs. However, the compression nuts do NOT fit on the threaded nub by the choke. The threads are different. I can barely get 1 thread on before it starts to bugger up the nub. Even the nut from my Carter 2-bbl single carb does not fit. Is this some kind of proprietory thread size?! Does anyone know what nut I need, and where I can get them?! There are a ton of Twin-H Hornets out there... what nuts did you guys use??

7/16-24......yes its an odder size 7/16-24 versus the more common 7/16-20; There are 7/16-24 dies out there.

Thanks Ken. I emailed Daytona Parts, too, and he told me that basically every American carb ever was 7/16-24. He also said that the Dorman choke kits should be the correct size, so it's puzzling to me that they won't fit. I can only guess it's because the threads are in even worse shape than they look with the naked eye. I hope to borrow a 7/16-24 die and see if I can clean them up. Hopefully that'll solve my problem!
