Being 6' 3, I'm getting tired of hitting my head on the trunk lid:angry: Wondering if anyone has modified the hinges so when the trunk lid opens, the lid would be up more vertical, out of the way? This is on a 52 Hornet. You would think after hitting it a few times I would learn!! Bill

Gotta love those pointy corners on the hood, too. You can always tell a guy who works on Hudsons.....he has scars on the top of his head. (mine are quite visible as some of you know).

Maybe I'm looking at it the wrong way. My new outlook.........I would be honored to hit my head on my 52 Hornet convertible, and if I owned a 57 Golden Hawk, I would say the same! At least I still have some hair to hide the scars. It's all in the way you look at it, I guess....... It still hurts though!

I've always thought of stepdown hoods as sort of an eagle's beak shape. They just swoop down and bite at your scalp.
