Is there a way to tell if a 52 Hornet came with the Twin H Power option from the factory? Maybe through a serial number, etc?
Just curious as you see a lot of restored ones with that currently and was just curious if there was a method to see if they were born that way.

Josh, I don't think so. This option was ordered on a sheet by the dealer or by a customer wanting it with their new car. I have a dealer order card that Jack Miller had given me several years ago when I was doing a '53 Hollywood. There was so much info on that dealer order form! It was very cool to look at some of the cost on it. I haven't got it in front of me, but a radio was like $99.82, the twin-H option was $88.00, the severe usage air cleaners[oil bath], were extra, Val-a-chrome wire wheels were like $175. ,chrome wires were 275., WWW tires, different mirror groups, tint glass, auto trans., leather interior for a '53 was like a $147. option,... Maybe Alex could tell you when the S.U. part #'s became available for racing applications in Step-down's?. Some S.U. part #'s were available long before the Step-down's, Hornets and Twin-H-Power. I think a complete S.U. Hudson part# catalog, for all years would be cool!. Someone might have already done this?.
And note that Twin-H was a dealer-installed package for quite a while, so someone with a '51 could go to their dealer and get the option installed.
