Would any of you guys be able to post a photo of a 48 or 49 dashboard showing the location of the overdrive control cable and what it looks like? Does it mount under the dash, or through the chrome strip, like the headlight and wiper switches? I would also like to see a photo of the foot switch that goes under the gas pedal, and it's exact location as well. I am in need of these items but I need to know 1) exactly what I'm looking for, and 2) how they are mounted. Thanks again for your help.

Mike, we have all of the items you need. Most of the floor pans have a hole for the kick-down. Yours being a '48 might not, but look a couple of inches below the hole for the throttle rod to the linkage. You will also need the correct gas pedal. The pedal with O/dr. has a steel button welded onto it in the exact correct place to make contact when depressed. You can modify yours to make it work by using epoxy and a piece of steel.
The cable has a specific bracket to locate it. We usually just make the bracket, which mounts under the dash, next to the steering column. I'm sure someone has pictures they can post. I don't know how to post pix, I'm sure it's simple, but I have never tried to do it.
