Hello. I have a 1939 Hudson Pacemaker Six. Attached is a picture of the front emblem, just under the hood.
As you can see, the chrome has wore off over time. I would like to get this re-chromed, so the brass under is not exposed and so it just looks better.
Once complete, should any parts of the emblem be painted? I cannot not seem to find an answer online. Some of the Hudson emblems I see have red and black in them.
Which leads me to another question. Is there an "Official" tint of red which is correct for Hudson or one most people use?
Thank You!
Josh
I'd check with Mike Sheridan with the beautifully restored 39 112 convertible. Ed

I looked at pictures of Mike's Hudson and his seems to have a slightly different emblem.
I did find this emblem picture online. Any chance it is correct?

I have a new old stock emblem just like the one on the right in the picture. Mine is painted just like it. Does anyone know exactly what model it fits? I'd like to post it so it could reach someone who needs it.

If you decide to sell the emblem, I would be interested,
Josh
