Hello, I am new to this sight and new to Hudsons. I have what I believe to be 1932 or 33 Hudson 8 headlights that I am planning to use on a car that I am building. I was wondering about their value. Maybe they are too hard to find and should be used on the correct car. I'm hoping the experts on this sight could give me a little insight on them. I am including some pictures.

The lights pictured are for the 1932/33 Hudson. Hudson production was less than 7,000 total for 1932 and around 3,000
for 1933. This included 5 body styles and 3 different wheelbases.

Compared to most of the cars of the era, very rare.
They do seem to be quite durable, as every five years or so I see a pair listed on e-bay. Not many looking though.

Given that many roads in that era were loose gravel it's a wonder headlights like these survived at all.

Back in the 70's I found a pair of these mounted on a cross bar in an antique shop in Maine. As I recall I paid less than $25 for the pair - later sold them to a fellow in New York for around $50, long time ago and the memory isn't very good. I do now I hooked them to a 6 volt battery in my celler just to see if they worked. Lit up the cellar like spotlights. One bulb only had one filament left, but that's an easy fix.
