The '51 Hornet Hollywood I bought came without an antenna so I picked one up but have found that the interior chrome center trim piece does not have the same profile as the plastic garnish piece that came with the antenna- not even close. Am I missing something? I've included a picture of the stainless center piece showing the screw holes where it mounts to the windshield header and the larger center hole where the threaded antenna passes through. Note that where the antenna passes through the trim,it is flat. Anyone have pictures of what should be there?

Hollywoods have a different plastic piece than other models

I was afraid that might be the case! Anyone have one for they would like to sell? even a broken one might work- I'll use it to make a wooden replica. Terry

Terry, The tell tale indication of a Hollywood antenna knob base is that it is round rather than slightly diamond shaped as it is on coupes and sedans. They are also slightly longer in length. Tough to find. I sold one last year to a guy in Texas

I can see the outline on the stainless center piece of where the round piece used to sit, but the general shape( teardrop, conical etc.) and length are what I would like to know, if possible. Terry
