Noise in rebuilt 212 engine, 1947 Hudson

As Frank has described, this is critical ! A bore scope could possibly be rented at O'Reilly Auto Parts. Using that to look into the cylinders might save a lot of time.?

I have a hunch that the guy in South Dakota is in Deadwood? If so, I know who that is and he's very meticulous about such things as C-C distances and he has done some Hudsons in the past. Good fellow and high quality work.
I mention this because I wouldn't want him to think that I'd suspected his work as being anything less than top notch..

No Frank, just trying to guess to what the problem might be, kind-a hard to do over the technical air-waves!
