Can anybody supply me with a picture of the placement of these hooks. I can feel a possible hole behind the headliner, just don't want to start poking random holes. i believe they are just behind the hand straps? Thanks

Carl, the center of clothes hook is 1 5/8" up from metal edge of inner top(where windlace fits)
and approx. 11 3/8" from center of assist strap--note approx.
and 5 1/4" back from the center screw on top edge of inner window frame (the one in the middle of the window)
Note this is a 4 door 1953 Hornet Sedan
an ice pick should locate it now.
edit: the shinning thing below the hook is not the center window screw; don't know what it is--went back to remeasure;
5 1/4" is correct !!!
