This footage is from August 1939 at the Waterfall Hill Climb out of Sydney Australia. Hudson 8's were the power of choice in the bigger engine classes and won the event.

Wow!! Back when racing was racing. Dirt course, no helmets or even googles. If you ne de more weight for traction, just have a buddy jump on the back bumper. I would have enjoyed seeing that in person.
