[b]Hello fellow Hudnuts:
This time I'm planning to completely overhaul my '49 Super Six brakes. I have already addressed the steel line issue (see my previous posts). I see Kanter has a brake overhaul kit ( including shoes) for $405. Is that a good way to go? I would like to find some adjusters too. I also need wheel seals, Kanter's prices on those seems pretty high. Where did you get yours? I think if I could get the part numbers for the seals I could possibly get them from NAPA. Your advice, please.

Yeah, Kanters can get you the stuff quickly and the price reflects that. You can do this for a lot less than $405, I'm sure, if you have the time, patience and expertise.
A lot, if not most of, the brake parts (adjusters, springs, clips, wheel cylinders or kits, etc.) is still available because the stuff was used on other, more popular makes. For example, I replaced a wheel cylinder this summer on my '37; my local parts place was able to get it in, overnight.
Some of the stuff is still available NOS from Hudson vendors, though you will probably have to contact them because they don't necessarily hang out here at the forum all the time.
I can't give you the part numbers myself, but be patient and you can accumulate them from the replies to your inquiry.
