Hello Doug,
Yes, I was fully aware of the shift interlocks on each side of the transmission, on for Reverse & 1st shift rail, and one for 2nd &3rd shift rail. I able to resolve the clutch dragging issue by simply moving the pedal up one notch at the clinch bolt, which allowed about another inch of pedal travel. Car was at Teri Rhodes, thus no lift. After moving the pedal a notch, the interlock was working on 2nd & 3rd, but I could shift between Reverse and 1st with the pedal up. Since this did not affect drivability, I decided to leave the Reverse & 1st shift interlock alone as I didn't wish to try to work on it on my back under the car. Teri can now take it to Kevin's house where he has a lift, if they feel the Reverse & 1st interlock should be adjusted to lock that shift rail with pedal up.
As I said in my previous post, in case you missed it: "Will check and set the 1-1/2 " clutch clearance first, then check the shift interlock linkage and adjust of necessary." Regards, Kenneth
