I have been searching for the part number of a modern thermostat for a 1946 212. I have found a lot of discussion regarding the bypass conversion but i cant seem to locate any that list a thermostat for the 212. Some of the parts stores around here actually ask me "who made Hudson" and "is that a car" so i had better go with a part number of what i need or I am not going to have much luck. Sorry I am sure I am rehashing an old topic.

Thanks to all

A non-bypass 160 degree one is a Gates 33036. Someone will help for a bypass option.

...and the bypass types are generally available (NOS) on Ebay for $5 or so. I spotted this one listed under Hudson parts:

Glenn,

What is the model of the car in your picture? I have a hood ornament piece almost exactly like what is on your car. It should get into the hands of someone who needs it, but I don't know how to describe it.

Per,
That's a 39 112. They seem to go missing as I've seen photos of a couple of cars without them. It's amazing what people must have tucked away in their collections.

If the hood gets out of adjustment, the two pieces clash and get broken, so yes, someone probably needs what you have.
