I going to pull the head off my '51 Hornet, but it is a 55 block with grade 6 1/2 bolts and studs. I contacted ARP about getting grade 8 studs as replacements and they wanted alot of detail some of which I haven't been able to find in the library or else where. I have a 262 head part no. 304621. Are all the head bolt hole blind into the block? Are the holes recessed before the threaded portion begins? How deep are the threads?
I tried to add the ARP information file but the system doesn't accept EXCEL files
Any dimension you are aware of would be helpful. I'll let folks know what ARP wants for them. I hope they have something off the shelf.
