Many of you already saw these pictures on Facebook. Thought I would post them here though for folks that don't use FB. Originally purchased new by Max Crittenden in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on April 25, 1952 - Fonda Motor Sales. HET member Larry Severnson (Iowa and Utah) purchased in 1990 and sold in 2009 to owner I purchased it from. It's a 5B, 1952. Has had 1953 hood replacing the 52 hood.

Seems to run well, no notice of blue smoke. It's been set up with an electric fuel pump, and the mechanical pump is removed. That will change eventually. Typically grimey underneath, and the rear outer frame had the dreaded rust. Typical Midwestern car. Overall, fine shape. The 262 is an excellent engine. A lot easier to see out the back when backing up compared to the pacemaker sedan.

Just went out and bled the brakes and drove down the hill, road. Solid pedal, needs more show adjustment, and a complete rebuild eventually.

I have a rebuilt 1952 trans with OD that's been in the crate for years (Al Saffran did it years ago). That will go in this car eventually because it doesn't have OD. Radio works, not sure if the other gauges do. Some lights need help and the wiring has ben fiddled with. All the regular stuff for an old car.

No, it seems to be metal that has texture on it and is painted.
