Good day folks,
Hello here from Denmark, Europe. I'm new in the world of Hudson and on this forum, and this will be my first post, hurray 🙂
I've purchased a '48 Hudson Super Six with my brother last year here in Denmark, Europe, and we are in the process of making it ready for the road.
Part of this is replacing the hood release cable, which has unfortunately broke, and is now too short to fit properly. Would anyone be able to recommend a good replacement or alternatively know a place where a new similar one can be sourced? Or do these come in standard lengths?
Thank you in advance.
This is the one I used with minor modification, cut to required length.
Welcome to the HET Forum, Fini (and perhaps to the HET Club as well, if you've joined that).
By the way, are you aware of the Svenska Hudsonklubben in Sweden? http://www.hudsonsweden.org/ You may be able to find some assistance, parts, and fellow Hudson owners there.
(I own a 1937 Terraplane which was shipped to Denmark when new. It was owned by a mechanic in Copenhagen, before I purchased it in 1971. The speedometer is still in kilometers!)
Thanks all.
No I was not aware of the Swedish club, thanks for the heads up! It's pretty lonely as a Hudson owner here in Denmark 😉
Interesting about your own car's history!
You have a beautiful car. I imagine your car gets more attention then most other cars.. Thanks for sharing.
