I have a 48 commodore. I recently replaced both front springs because it sits approx. 1 1/2 inches lower on drivers side. I thought the drivers side spring was broke but it wasn't . With the new front springs it still sits lower on the drivers side. I now have the rear end of my car on ramps so I can fix the gas tank. and I noticed that the rear spring on drivers side is closer to the frame than the passenger side. Is there any adjustments I can make to either rear spring so it sits level? Thanks for any info
My $0.02... sounds like a broken leaf spring or failed shock. Keep in mind I've driven 0 miles, 0 feet in a Hudson... so I will yield to the opinion of some of the more experienced folks.

Pretty sure you have one or more broken leaves on rear spring. My 52 Hornet had 8 leaves and 5 leaves were broken on left rear (drivers side). Contact 21st Century for a new pair of rear springs.

Thanks -- no broke leaf springs. I have air shocks on it and they are working fine. one suggestion I received was to separate the lines on the air shock and put more air pressure in one and less in the other. that's my next option.

Not all brakes in my broken leaves were visible until I removed the metal wrapping. Also, the left shackle appeared it had not been lubed in decades with the result the metal shackle bushings were oblong and the shackle was worn so bad it was only about 70% of original diameter. I originally suspected only one broken leaf but once the metal covering was removed and the spring center bolt removed there were 5 broken leaves. If I had ignored the problem I may have ended on the side of the road someday with all 8 leaves broken.
A 1 1/2 inch drop at left rear is telling you that you have a potential serious problem that needs to be found and corrected. Don.t stop looking until you find the problem and correct the problem. The air shock will not correct the problem but will allow the problem to get worse. Potential problem areas: left spring has fewer leaves than right spring, broken left spring leaves, worn spring bushings and shackles worn, loose spring mounting bolt loose that may elongate frame bracket hole or frame damage. So if you are positive it is not the spring, you have a bigger problem to find and correct.

Please keep use informed what you find wrong and corrective action taken.
Good luck.

Also remember the center of the bottom and top leafs are covered by the rubber insulator. I didn't see one of mine were cracked until I peeled back the insulator.

Thanks -- I guess I should of posted everthing I checked before I asked the question. Both rear springs are good.
