Hey all,

Found in the frame rail above the wheel well on both sides. It seems to synthetic since it is a universal thickness and melts, rather than burns. What is it? Was it sound insulation? Is it a few seasons of critter nests (no other evidence) ?

Random I know, but was just curious.

Thanks, Ray

That is a pack that Hudson installed behind the rocker panels. Should have it in the front, middle and at the rear. It was there to stop wind noise. You can throw it away, not needed. Walt.

Ray, That stuff is rubberized horsehair. Great for collecting moisture ,holding it, and rotting out rockers. Wonderful stuff.

Thanks Walt and Lance...

It was exactly that... it being all wadded up was a good dam for rocks and mud. Thankfully no rot 🙂
