I just made this one based off of Rob's design. I decided to make this one piece and bolt it to the frame through the sides.
I'll make a few small changes on the next one I build.

I have a pdf on my website that explains how my now deceased buddy Earl Huffman created a Stepdown towing capabilty. This was used to tow several cars cross country from California to Nebraska and when he and I went to Texas to pick up parts with a UHAUL trailer.

Ken, I didn't know Earl had passed. When he was in the Air Force he came to Portsmouth, NH, on some inspectiion tour and I had him spend the weekend at my place. He supplied a lot of early serial number data that was incorporated into my General Information Handbook. Very nice person and enjoyable to get together with.
