This Hornet was painted about 12 years ago. The problem area in the front of the hood and was not repaired/fixed. I drill out the spot welds and take the brace out, blast clean and fix then apply an anti rust coating before welding back in place. Use a galvanize welding coating in the weld sandwich area.

Agreed. Most of the parts hoods I've seen are rusted out there. Good job on repairing that one. Had to do the same on the convertible.
