I am selling a rebuilt 1936 Hudson eight cylinder radiator on ebay and some one asked me if this would work for a 1937 Terraplane six cylinder motor will this fit a 37 car or not thanks.

Won't fit - 1936 Terraplane radiator part number 150535; 1936 Hudson 6 - 150536; 1936 Hudson 8 - 150537. I should say they could probably made to fit but probably wouldn't cool properly.
Source of this info is the 1930-1939 Master Chassis Parts book - a copy is in the online library.

Alex B

So, would this fit a 36 Terraplane with 6 cylinder?
I would think the only difference might be a little thicker core for better cooling.....
Thanks,
Jeff

Off hand I'm not sure if the Hudson 6 and Terraplane radiators are interchangeable. They do have different part numbers. I just checked the 1927-1950 Numerical Parts Interchangeable book - no interchange there. It does say that it includes shell. So that may be the difference.
I'm sure somebody will come along and iron this out.

Thank you Alex.
Guess I better ask him to measure the height, width, and thickness for me and maybe that will shed some light on the issue.
