Thanks Russell. You and park have given me an option to consider. What do you think of the restoration now versus a couple of years ago? Wish you a Merry Christmas.
I think it's awesome, and beautiful. I know how much work and then extra work you took on, but in the end it will all be worth it. Have a Merry Christmas!
Thank you Russell. We are trying to do the best job we can with the car. Other then myself the two other guys working on the car have a lot of years experience. However, this is their first Hudson and they were not there when we took the car apart. This has obviously resulted in an extended time frame to get where we are today. The help we have received from the Hudson folks has really helped.
Thanks for the replies regarding the "mystery" parts. The first picture posted is for the bracket that holds the drivers side dash panel in place that contains the speedometer. The second picture is the bracket that helps support the glove box in place. The third picture is a treaded support rod that screws into the tops of the shock absorber towers. I will get out a few pictures when the parts are mounted to the car. We have to a little work to do to get the treaded rod in place. Thanks again and wish everyone a Happy New Year.
Dave sent me this earlier today - Dashboard, lighted -
Dave needs some assistance here. He's looking for a manufacturer/maker of knobs (like the one shown below).
FYI - Rob Fayette has already been contacted. He is no longer producing them.
Any help, guidance or leads would be appreciated.
If you blow up the picture I think you can see the following lights are on: turn signals, bright lights, instrument panel, clock, and both red idiot lights.
Opps, forget the clock. The light works but the panel was not in when the picture was taken.

We are moving as fast as we can to get the car ready to go to Indy in May. The work I had done on the clutch and clutch was garbage. Sent the tranny to Al Saffrahn and the clutch to Ron Fellows last week. In the mean time the upholstery work is being finished up. I am still looking for all my interior knobs.
Dave sent me some more pictures: Clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing - back from Ron Fellows
Ron did a great job and got everything back to me in record time. As you can see from the pictures the parts look at least as good as they did way back in 1938. Thanks again Ron!
Dave - What is in Indy in May. Just asking because I want to try and meet you there. Thanks Mike Sheridan
!00th year of pace cars at the Indy Race. They are having a reunion for Indy Pace Cars. Look up Indy Pace Car reunion on Facebook. It is the 100th anniversary of the pace car. They have asked me to bring my '38. We are working as fast as we can to get it ready. Just got the clutch rebuilt, the tranny is in the hands of Al Saffrahn and the interior guy is going as fast as he can. It would be great to meet you if we can both make it up for the events which are May20-22.
