Does anyone know anything about the yellow '49 Brougham on E-Bay? The guy has it listed as a Commodore, and it has a Commodore dash, but I don't think that Hudson offered a Brougham in Commodore trim. Does anyone know this car or it's condition?

You're correct, the Brougham was offered only in the Super Six/Super 8 series. YOu're right, the interior of this one has been "Commodorized" with the fancier steering wheel and the script on the gloveboxes. The exterior taillights and trunk handle are all stock Super Six. They say this is a 49 and probably is then; the only way to know is the see the numbers which aren't provided. THe top center gauges have the needles pointing from the side as opposed to the bottom side of the gauge. I can't remember which is which, but apparently 49's were done this way, while 48s had the needle origin at the bottom. Other than the script on the gloveboxes and perhaps some upholstery options, they Supers and Commodores were pretty similar throughout. THe only external clue to determining a 48/49 is the position of the joint for the window reveal moldings on the front doors. Towards the front on the top side for 48, in the middle for 49. Otherwise, the cars and options are virtually indistinguishable.(there were minor changes in some mechanicals and interiors). Looks like a good auction.
