Can anyone tell me where the six inner springs go on my 1937 terraplane clutch? None of the manuals I have show them
Check the online library - hetclub.org - in the 1930-1939 section under Manuals there's a 1937 Hudson - Terraplane parts book that has a good clutch illustration on page 42.

Unfortunately that diagram doesn't show where the six inner springs go, but thanks the manual will help down the road.
If I'm seeing this correctly, the springs are arranged in three groups of three each, and the inners, being six of them, are installed at the ends of each of those groups. If you are working on a unit that you dis-assembled, there should be evidence of that, in the form of polished rings of contact ("witness") in those 6 locations. The inners seat on the raised area of the clutch cover whereas the outers seat around it.

NO witness marks. better shot of the 6 holes
Could they go around what looks like six bolt holds

The small ones are inners, that is to say they go inside of the outers in the positions I described.....or attempted to describe. The six holes I think you are talking about are the flywheel-to-crankshaft flange bolts.
Put one inner spring into each of the end springs of each group of three. In each group, the middle one will not have an inner. I just don't know how else to say it.
