Dennis,
What is the purpose of your overbore? Are you trying to make use of a block with very rusty cylinders to use for ordinary driving, or are you building an engine for racing?

Do not go over .060 overbore if you intend to drive just highways. That gives you a total of 317 CID, and no heating problems. That is what my engine is and has been driven 143,000 and still runs like a charm. Seventeen trips ocean to ocean and still goes 3,000 miles on an oil change and speeds to 100 MPH. All know Walt's car. Walt.
