If I may piggyback on your post, at a show recently a man spoke to me and said he has a1948 Commador 8 sedan he would like to sell. He bought it a while back but it apparently had been in storage for some time. The last registration sticker was for 1955. He got the engine running. The nephew of the man he got it from thought the engine was siezed , but it turned out the water pump was stuck. After he replaced that it turned over fine. He says there is a lot of surface rust on it but apparently no rust through. I believe he would like what he has in it, about $6500. His name is Bruce White and the car is located in Rochester, NH.
