Does anyone have a modern NAPA or others part number for the brake light pressure switch that's mounted on the back of the master cylinder? Thanks Terry
I assume this is for a StepDown ('cause that's what is in your picture) but what year and model? Might make a difference, I dunno...
This is for a '50 C-6 262. The MC is new as are the brake lines and flexible brake hoses. When I removed the two wires from the pressure switch, a post came off the switch .
Terry,
When this happened to me I brought the old switch to a NAPA store and they quickly found a replacement. It was used on lots of vehicles.

And early '36!
Key is 'low pressure' actuation {not power brakes}.
Thanks guys. I'll be picking one up today. Does a lot of fluid leak out? I'll be doing a "quick" change i.e. old out and new one in immediately. Terry
Terr, I dont remember any significant fluid leakage when I did it. Doug

No fluid will leak out as long as you do not touch the brake pedal. Walt.
Installed the switch and all is well and your right Walt, not a drop came out. Thanks again Terry
