It's Friday morning, Feb 1st and I can't open any of the posts at the CC site. get an error message of "Bad Gateway". what ever that means.. NOW maybe the HET site will see more activity..??
Yup, noticed it this AM, was the same early yesterday (see my post here on the 'Gateway' issue yesterday too).
No notices or posts by any administrator since December. IMO, it looks like the site is beginning to show signs of neglect...
I have begun posting discrete messages to come over to the HET Club Forum - however they are difficult to read if one cannot even access the threads within that forum... :S
It's 10:21 EST and I've just shot an e-mail off to two of the Classiccar staff, asking if they've been receiving the error reports I've been sending them (using the error reporting form on Classiccar). I sent these to the staff members' individual e-mail accounts so I would assume they'll see the e-mail.
I hope they can get this fixed soon, because I personally feel that the Classiccar forum is welcoming to websurfers who stumble in on it. Once they're there, we can usher them into our H-E-T forum (which requires registration simply to read). But to the casual surfer the Classiccar site is a welcoming portal to the Hudson world.
I am with you on this CC site being down. I guess I need to spend more time over here and figure out how things work. I visit every now and then but I expect that I should start going here first...
Okay, just got an e-mail from Classiccar. They've fixed the forum! I just checked (as of 1:00 PM Friday afternoon, EST)
Yup - sent one inquiry early today, and relayed a second with additional info from Richie. Seems if you were not logged-in, you didn't get the error message, however you could not access threads if you were logged-in.
The issue appears to have been resolved. Only time will tell...
I had a proablem logging into the site using Firefox a little while ago. Kept sending me to a page with the msg "Invalid Token." However using IE8 works fine. IE is a little slow loading on this computer, but not so slow as to be unliveable. On the other hand trying to open files in the online library with Firefox - forget about it. It will open, sooner or later I think, but I usually just go and open up with IE8.
A few minutes later - Firefox opened the site just fine - either Firefox got the msg from IE8 or I shouldn't have tried to use those old Boston MTA subway tokens!!!!!!
