Charlie
Good name. My Dads and my first name. I like your car. Hollywoods look great no master the condition. I've been helping a friend fix up his 52 Hollywood. May I suggest you make yours driveable so you can enjoy it as you fix it up. A project that can not move often become a unpleasant chore and many never see the road again.

Charlie,
I see it is an Illinois car. Are you in Illinois? I'm in Urbana.
You're welcome to come by and get pictures or take notes or get information to help you.
You can come drive it too...that should add some incentive!
If there's anything I can do to help, just let me know.
Rob
Zach,
Yes, I bought it from Bob.
No heads came with it... 😉
Rob
Mike,
Thank you! 🙂
I like being a grandpa!
Rob
Rob, Maybe I'll see you on the road pulling your trailer. We just purchased a 1953 Burmuda
Canned Ham 12 footer to be pulled by the 48 super six with Hornet power. Dan
Ron,
Don't forget to install seat belts
By the way, congrats! I think you found a very good car for yourself! And Happy Hudsoning!
Condgrads! Looks like a very nice Hudson. I hope you have many happy times with it!
Thanks all, I appreciate the nice comments.
As with most cars, the pictures make it look nicer than it really is, but nice or beat up and rusty, I like the style and color, as long as it gets me home I'll be happy!
The car has front seat belts, but have to in stall them in the back for the kids.
Rob
Rob,
Congratulations on purchasing your first Hudson. As you have found out by participating in the Hudson Essex Terraplane Club "online", we are a great group of folks willing to help others out and offer all kinds of advice. I know that you have visited a few club members and maybe made it to a local chapter meeting while looking for your dream car. I think you will be overwhelmed once you attend your first Hudson Essex Terraplane Club regional or national meet. Make sure that your wife and kids understand that when you tell them that you are going out to the parking lot for a "few minutes" to look at the cars, that you may be gone for hours. Make sure that they have a "plan B" in place while you are gone. Looking forward to crossing paths someday.

Thanks John,
Yes, it is great to have such a valuable resource at my fingertips.
I still remember the days of "send a S.A.S.E." and you'll have your answer in two or three weeks... glad those days are over.
I plan to be at the Colorado meet, maybe see you there!
Rob

Charlie,
That's a bit of a drive, but you're welcome to come by!
Good to hear you got it running, always exciting to bring an old car back to life!
