I enjoy working on old cars. Especially "well engineered" old cars. I have a shop with tools dedicated to doing it. I also happen to love the stepdown era Hudsons. Since I will want a car that is well done (not short-cutted or rebuilt for profit), I looked around until I found one that was complete but still pretty much needed to be all restored. I figure this way, I'll have to go through everything, check it and restore it if necessary. I looked at a ton of cars that all needed something done, some needed a lot, some not so much. This seemed to me to be the only way I will ever know what I really have.
I have a couple of other non-Hudson classics that I have built, and I can jump in, when I need a "driving fix", so I'm in no hurry to get my '50 done. I'm trying to keep my priorities straight and "enjoy the journey".
I felt some pressure initially to try to have it running/driving by this years National meet, but I realized some time ago that this was not a goal that was realistic and within my original statement of purpose.
I liive in Denver Co, a short one hour drive from Colorado Springs. I look forward to seeing and meeting many of you "sans" Hudson...keith
Make sure you introduce yourself, Keith. Look forward to meeting you and talking Hudsons.
Second that.
