could someone tell me were I can find the ID number for a 1936 Terraplane 2dr sedan the ID plate is missing from the firewall on a car I just bought and the title has a number on it that looks like it could be a motor number I have other 36 Terraplanes that is why I know they do not have the right number on the title.
Tom, have you looked on the front door pillar (passenger side) under the windshield post? It should be on a metal plate located there.
If it's been removed, try on the rear axle housing, passenger side, between differential and right backing plate, toward the top (it's stamped into the metal). If not there, try on the pass. side frame, over where the front axle passes beneath it. I think it's either on the top or outside of the frame rail (again, stamped into the metal).
