I could not get the search page to work. This is probably still with a club member.

Kerry, check my reply on the Ol' Forum
Strange. The 2D is a '54 Hudson Jet; the serial number, #49197365, is for a 1949 built in May 1949. Unless I'm missing something here. Neither 1946 or 1949, nor the 1954 Jet for that matter, had a Business Coupe, per se. 1946 and 1949 did have a 3-Pass. Coupe but I'm not sure if that was a business coupe.

Kerry---
Have you suggested to Mrs. Leaders that she avail herself of the Club's registry system, by contacting the registrar for that particular year? As Alex says, we have a problem right off, due to a conflict with the serial number. However, it's possible that the latest owner registered the car with one of the registries (1946? 1954? Jet?). The serial number or year of manufacture, listed on the title, could have been input incorrectly years ago, thus explaining the conflict.
My money is on this car being a model "491" (first three digits of the serial number) and thus a Super Six business coupe -- not a 1946. I have seen a '49 business coupe (no rear seat, rear seat area upholstered in vinyl with access hatch to trunk). "2D" on the title, refers to "two doors", it's not part of the serial number.
Duh. Brain phart, Jon. LOL You are correct - 2D means 2 door, not '54 Jet. Sorry 'bout that.
