I have a 1953 Hornet Hollywood. And I need trunk springs. If anyone has a good source and would like to share, I would be grateful. My main question is does anyone have thoughts on adding gas strut tubes on both sides to assist the original springs. I have a heavy Volvo trunk lid on the daughters car, and without it's struts, it is as heavy as the Hudson lid. But with the new ones in, it raises itself and they are cheap and small. Any Comments? 😉 Thanks, Bobby
