From what I can see, the step downs all came with skirts.
Now and then I see a car that has what appears to be aftermarket skirts, like these;

Are they added because the originals are lost, just for a different look, or for some other reason?

I would guess that on that car with the flames just showing that it was an attempt to "jazz" it up a little and give it a different look 🙂

Feel the same when I see 'skirts' on trucks - they just do not 'belong' there...

One thing about skirts - yes they do look nice and they do make the car look better, IMHO. However, that said I think the owner of a car with skirts should take them off at least once a year and clean and wipe the inside with an oily rag. Your honey bun will be happy when that flat tire comes along in the middle of a hurricane - happy that she doesn't have to listen to your impressive bad word vocabulary that you ARE going to use if you don't do a little maintenance. :blush:
Just saying..........................

Hudsonly,
Alex B

Ayuh Alex, but if your skirt gets that thing loose in a windstorm, you'll loose both skirts.
