Has anyone installed Wildrik Rubber P/N116 Radiator Seal Kit? I purchased the part but cannot determine how it is installed. Anyone with a picture would help greatly.

thanks

Ken:
Thanks a lot that helps clarify the rubber parts on each side of the radiator (which I have). However do I see an additional piece running along the bottom of the radiator? If so I do not have that piece. Where did you get it?

again thank you sooooo much

I didn't know the pieces existed, but they are to prevent radiator air bypass. I used tape all around my Alum. radiator. As much air as possible should go thru the radiator; if you have too much air, the thermostat will raise the temp.
Get all the air you can!! Here are scoops I made that direct more air thru the bottom slot in front of the radiator.
🙂
EDIT: Have noticed after looking at the 'stock' rubber pieces shown further down that the scoops will not work if you have that shield in place. I didn't and also used Gorilla tape around the engine side between radiator and "U" yoke to force air thru radiator. The 'stock' rubber side pieces also were missing. You should definitely try to eliminate radiator bypass one way or another !!!

There is suppose to be a metal piece that bolts to the frame on both side just under the counter balancer. Walt.

I made all the rubber pieces. The long piece that goes between the radiator bottom and the cross member just behind the bumper is the air deflector......It was originally made of the same hardboard that the door panels were made of (waxed hardboard about 1/8" thick). I made mine out of two ply fabric reinforced neoprene rubber 1/8" thick. I sold one to Russell Chilton. I have a few feet of this material of this material ( I also use it to make the Stepdown master cylinder guards)

Walt, know nothing about a metal plate; assume it is for the purpose of elimination of radiator bypass air; or maybe a spoiler to deflect air. Perhaps if a plate had been there, I wouldn't have done what I did.
For "rubber", any thickness, durometer, etc. check McMaster-Carr online; fact is they have so much it is hard to figure out.

Here are some photos of the metal tray and the filler seal I made out of conveyor belt material

Here's what the air deflector should look like. It should have notched corners so it can fit into the U shaped radiator support, to force air into radiator. If you run your conveyer belt deflector under the metal tray like in the photos, the air will pass under the radiator, not through it.

Kenneth:
What is the approximate length & width of your bottom air deflector?

I can make this piece for you for $30 + $10 shipping to NV. I have the rubber and pattern on hand. I think I sold you some part(s) not too long ago? Regards, Kenneth

Ah, good to know my memory is still good. I sold you a master cylinder guard last November. The air deflector is made of the same 1/8" thick fabric reinforced rubber as that master cylinder guard. Regards, Kenneth

Ah yes your memory serves you right. I've installed the master cylinder guard & it fit perfect. Yes if you have the time & material I would like that lower wind deflector.

thanks

J
