what is the correct valve lash on a cold 1950 262 502 series engine. the manual says .008 in. and .010 exhaust at operating temperature. I was thinking .010 in. and .012 ex on a cold engine or should I open them up more. Terry

With todays gas set them cold at int .014 and exh at .017. Valves need more time on the seats to throw off heat. Racing Hudsons were set at .020 and .020. Walt.
