I know that you drill a hole in the rear valance on the passenger side of the car. This isn't why I am looking for the sheet. I have several NOS kits and none of them seem to have cme with instructions. Does anyone have a copy of a instruction sheet? I need it for 2 reasons. 1 if I do put one on a car I want it ind he right place and 2, I am writing an article on a few of the Hudson oddities for a local paper.

Can you help?????

nice shades in the rear window!
Has that been an option or an after market part back in the 50s?

Dirk, They were a Hudson option. I have a NOS set I am thinking about putting on my 49. They discontinued offering them when the rear glass was widened on the step-downs

Yes, and for 1950, the rear glass was the 48-49 style on Pacemakers and on the 1950 Commodore/Super coupes. The rest of the Hudson lineup (4dr sedans, broughams) got the bigger windows for 1950 (split). They did away with the split rear window and all cars had the larger rear window for 1951, then it was even larger for 52-54.

The shades are wonderful. YOu can easily see out the back, but they really do keep sun off that big package tray in back.
