Hey fellow Hudsonites, I need a part. I have placed a want ad elsewhere, but I don't know how often these ads are perused. So, what I need is the trunk lock shaft for a 53 Hornet. Attached are pics of my lock and the shaft in question. You can see one ear is broke off the shaft, thus the problem. If you can spare one (I don't care if I need to buy your whole lock), please email me at dchetbabydr@gmail.com, drop the het. Thanks!
Ooops, forgot pics! Note that this is the lock that has to protrude through the potmetal trunk emblem, thus the retaining clip location approx 1/2 inch from the stainless face. The shaft is approx 2 1/2 inches long.

I saw a NOS one on e bay last night under Hudson parts autonut is the seller
If it's the same one I saw a few nights ago in eBay then it is incorrectly listed- would not fit in trunk ornament

I bought a trunk cylinder and tailpiece from Joe, the proprietor. He had to braze the tailpiece to get the right length, but it works fine.
