To those of us who attened the French Lick Nationals in 2014, be advised of the following:

French Lick resort announced a malware data breach between April 23, 2014 and January 21, 2015. In the article above they are offering a free year of credit monitoring if you ask.
Certainly not my first choice of a topic to post but the Hudson communitty needs to be aware of the possible security issue with your personal information and credit cards.

I just phoned the hotel (today is Wednesday, Jan. 28) and was told that the breach of credit card information was NOT for those who paid for rooms, it was only for restaurants and stores in the resort. You may want to double-check that, but if you only used your credit card to reserve / pay for a room, you apparently have dodged the bullet.
Well, we used our credit card for the room, and meals at the restaurants.
Some members of our chapter including myself have received a general letter from French Lick describing the security breach.
Included in the letter are some helpful hints on protecting credit.
I suggest we all pass the word to all those who attended the meet, especially those who do not have internet.
Good Luck!
