Dirk,
Replacing those sway bar bushings and stabilizer bars and bushings is a must.
You run the risk of bending that bar without the bushing installed.
I wouldn't want to drive my Hudson like that-it must handle terrible.

All these parts are available from Wildrick for reasonable cost.

Have you looked behind the headliner yet? Maybe the whole fixture, including the bezel and lens is there!

Per,

no, not yet. It is still to cold in the garage to be able to do something. This Friday I will get the interir light brezel and glass from a very generous person in this forum and I will then tackle this subject.

One other question :
Does anyone have an indicator level / switch assembly for the 501 model or knows a source? I had to discover that the original assembly has been removed and replaced by an odd construction under the dash. :angry:

Very positively : all that have seen the car have big eyes and full of compliments and positive comments.... - it is an eye catcher and has a sleek and attractive shape!! I love it!

I used Polyurethane sway bar bushings and end links: Universal 3/4" bushings and Energy Suspension # 9.8121R sway bar end link kit
