I have a 1946 Hudson business coupe. needs an engine overhaul, new clutch, brake redo, wiper motor restore, and fuel guage repair. Who in the Northwest is best to do the work?? Prefer Oregon/Idaho area

I'm sorry, I make a living using my computers, but I can't figure out how to navigate this site. PM? I don't know where to go for a PM!

Carl, above the forum block, there's a link that says private messages. Click on that and you can see your messages and send others messages as well.

If you don't find a wiper repair person in the west, I can recommend sending yours to Ficken's on Long Island, NY. They've been doing this for 40+ years and they're good, and honest as well. For example, I sent mine in for overhaul and they told me that the metal had warped and that -- even if they overhauled it -- it would no longer hold vacuum. The same day I found an NOS wiper on Ebay for $45 (a fraction of what I'd have paid for a rebuild) and it works great. So I have a great respect for them. It will probably cost you up around $100 though. Their website is www.wiperman.com I think.
