Looking to purchase a headliner, carpet set, and possibly more if available for my 54 Hornet sedan. Does anyone have a suggestion of a source and a good experience to share?

Yeah. I've had minimal experience yet with SMS, but they seem to have the stuff. I think there's a sample request form you can fill out on their website and they'll send you cuttings of what they have.
I will say, though, I requested sample materials for a '52 with a blue interior and most of the material was correct, but they sent me '51 seat material and all the windlacing they gave me samples of didn't have the correct pattern. I still haven't found a windlacing, but after e-mailing with them, they confirmed that they have the correct '52 seat material. So know what you're looking for and communicate with them because they may not pull out the correct stuff for your car on the first try.

SMS in Oregon has the pattern and quotes them at $249 in original brushed cotton with 3-4 weeks delivery.
I bought material for my '56 from SMS, and it is an EXACT match with the metallic weave, and the EXACT wind lace.
