Has anyone replaced the wet clutch in a 1946 Super 6 with a dry one?? If so, info would be good.

Not meaning to be impertinent, but why re-invent the wheel? I had a new clutch installed maybe 15 years ago and I've put many thousands of miles on it since, with no problems.

Jon is right. Properly maintained, just like any component on a car, the Hudson wet clutch is perfectly adequate. There have been a drag race car or two that used that clutch and it worked just fine. I have read stories of people who have replaced the wet clutch with a dry one only to find it didn't work as well as the original.
IMHO I'd leave it as is. Lets face it - Hudson used that clutch for many, many years so they must have done something right. If it needs overhauling, and if this is an original clutch from 1946, it may well need some tuning up. There are several HET club people who do this work - Doug Wildrick is one, as I recall.

Walt here. 2 years ago a man called me and said his clutch was real bad. After checking it out some one tried in it to put a dry clutch together in it and what a mess. I install a Doug Wildrick set up in it and the man could not believe how smooth it was. If you ever get to talk to Doug ask him about the parts Walt returned. It was a 1949 Commodore Sedan In A-1 condition and after the new clutch he sold the car for $22,000. Walt.
