See your Hydramatic control better--12V only

The inside of my back snap cover was painted white(not sure if original) and of course the indicator and drive letters are white. Too much white !!! I painted the inside of the cover medium green {interior is green} and it is excellent in the daytime, white on green.
However, the indicator bulb was not bright enough to light it up good at night because of the darker paint. The bulb I had was a miniature #53 which is 1.72 watts. I installed a miniature #1893 that is 4.6 watts. Note that a #57 bulb,3.4 watts, is to fat to go in the tube.
As you might imagine, neutral,D4,D3,low,& reverse is now lite up extremely well at night (better than it was with the white paint) with the benefit of looking perfect in the daytime. I am much happier !! All this for consideration, if applicable~~~~~~
